Transportation Planner ��� System Performance
The Association of Central Oklahoma Governments, the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Oklahoma City Area Regional Transportation Study (OCARTS) area, seeks a highly motivated, skilled, self-starting professional to fill
a key position within the Transportation & Planning Services (TPS) Division. This position requires excellent analytical, communication, data management and problem���solving abilities.
The position serves as the principal professional and technical resource for metropolitan planning organization (MPO) regional performance based planning including: the Congestion Management Process, system targets and measurements, and
safety and security planning for the MPO. Other responsibilities include coordination of related committees and/or subcommittees, and assisting in the development of the long range transportation plan. Makes frequent decisions important to the projects for
which he/she has responsibility.
NOTE: The position will be filled at either the Assistant Planner or
Associate Planner level, depending on qualifications.
Minimum Requirements:
Assistant Planner: Requires a Bachelor���s Degree in Engineering, Geography, Planning or related field, plus one (1) year of professional experience. A Master���s Degree in related field may substitute for the
1���year experience. Starting Salary Range: $38,000 - $45,000
Associate Planner: Requires a Bachelor���s Degree in Engineering, Geography, Planning, or related field, plus three (3) years of professional experience. A Master���s Degree in related field may substitute for
1���year of experience. Starting Salary Range: $43,000 - $50,000
