Our regional census office indicated the PSAP boundaries would be finalized by this fall. They indicated any changes to the PSAP submittal would be detailed and provided for buy-off. To date, I haven't yet heard back - it would be nice to know the final boundaries and also when they'll be available for general download. I would hope they'll release the boundaries in advance of the census. I saved shapefiles of the PSAP submittal, but I am working on the assumption the census bureau will not alter the boundaries we've submitted. I had the same problem and resorted to using 7-Zip software to unzip it. It's a free compression software - http://www.7-zip.org/. Hope this helps. Solution for unzipping new 2009 Tiger files: I also have XP but the 64bit version, initially I was getting the error Vinod got. Here are the steps to remedy the problem: 1. Go to the Tiger Link: http://www2.census.gov/cgi-bin/shapefiles2009/county-files?county=12099 2. Click on each file individually without checking the box and it will download and save the file with all of its contents on to machine. 3. I've had that problem in the past with Census files. I think 7zip (freeware) will open those, as it bypasses the Windows file "protection". WinZip would probably work also. The unblock stuff (as you found) does not work... I had our IT consultant try it, and he didn't even have the "unblock" button. [CTPP] 2009 TIGER/Line Shapefiles released today; info on 2010,TIGER/LineShapefiles

FYI--Besides the 2009 Tiger Files it looks like we will have the new 2010 Files before the 2010 Block population counts come out in around March of 2011. This is good news.
